Normal Vet for a Guinea pig ?

I am from India and i have a pair of guinea pigs. I noticed that one of my cavy is very dull and is quiet ,sitting in a hunched posture.Unfortunately there are no Vets for Exotic Pets here, only normal vet. is it alright if i take them to normal vet for diagnosis. ??

Exotics isn’t as important as a vet with guinea pig experience and training. Some general vets have that so ask around. If you can’t find one, find a vet who is willing to admit what he/she doesn’t know and who is willing to either look it up or call a colleague who does know
