Endangered Species List 2011

Would abolishing the Endangered Species Act help stimulate the economy?
There are thousands of projects mired in red tap including approx 40% of the stimulus monies regarding tiny plants, bugs, rodents, and sucker fish.
In California, they have listed so many species that red tape is at every turn.
The Endangered Species Act proponents argue their cases with Clean Water Act and other Health protection laws. NEVER on the benefit of the flowerloving fly or the river sucker or the red-legged frog. Its religiously assumed.
Ironically, this Stupid bill, Signed by a Republican President could be overturned by a Democrat.

** Does glass cup really believe the ESA creates billionaires????
Getting draconian on inner city crime would reduce urban sprawl and reduce the need for a bunch of questionable environmental policy. As it stands, humans that would raise a family have to encroach on natural habitat to live.
Hope for Endangered Species Act Candidates

Endangered Species $11.18 At the age of 28, Big Pun joined a long list of deceased rappers who left fans too early. Endangered Species is a compilation of much of Pun’s best work. All of Pun’s hits are included here, including “It’s So Hard” and the infectious dancefloor filler “Still Not a Player.” Also included are several of Pun’s most memorable guest appearances, such as his cameo on the Beatnuts classic “Off the Books,” as well as some of his work with Terror Squad. Most of Big Pun’s fans will buy the album for unreleased material such as “Mama” and “Wishful Thinking,” a collaboration with Kool G. Rap and Cypress Hill’s B Real. While the unreleased material may not be Big Pun’s best work, it will also not disappoint his fans. The album includes some of Pun’s remixes of pop hits like Ricky Martin’s “Livin’ la Vida Loca” and Brandy’s “Sittin’ on Top of the World.” Taken as a whole, the album is an impressive document of an artist that truly was a force to be reckoned with. ~ Jon Azpiri, Rovi |

Endangered $27.95 Since 1973, the Endangered Species Act has served as our nation’s legislative ark for imperiled wildlife. But our toughest and most controversial environmental law has only recovered a handful of the more than 1,300 species under its protection. In Endangered, award-winning journalist Mitch Tobin uses firsthand accounts to show why so many species are at risk of extinction. For nearly seven years, Tobin reported from the front lines of Endangered Species Act battles. He crisscrossed the Southwest—our hottest, driest, fastest-growing region—in search of wildlife driven to the brink of extinction and solutions to the crisis. Tobin discovered that this region, with its urban sprawl, wasteful water use, and vulnerability to climate change, provides a snapshot of the issues facing species throughout the world. Yet in one of the continent’s hot spots for biodiversity, Tobin also found compelling examples of collaboration. With these examples in mind, he advocates for a set of innovative policies that can preserve the species and wild places that sustain us all. |
