Endangered Animals Species

Can you name more Disney animals than Endangered Species?
Hello, I am doing a school project – it is due tomorrow. I’d like to know if people can typically name more Disney animal characters versus real endangered species.
***Please list all the character names you can think of, and list the endangered species you know of.*** Please do not Google this – I need honest answers. Thanks!
Mickey
Minnie(Minerva) mouse
Donald Duck
Goofy
Pluto
Sebastian
Flounder
Skuttle
Abu
Iago
um…
Nemo
Dory
Marlin
Flo
Maximus
Chip
Dale
Daisy Duck
Max(the goof)
Turk? from tarzan
yeah.. I’m running out of stuff now.so that is 20
Endangered species:
Blackfooted Ferret
California Condor
Panda
Siberian Tiger
Florida Panther
Leatherback Sea turtle
Red Panda
Cloud Leaopards
Bald Eagle (?)
Manatee
Mexican Wolf
Red Wolf
orqangutan
White rhino
grevys mountain zebra
pink dolphin
that is 16
See the problem here is, it is alot harder to remember the proper names of animals and whether or not they are officially endangered than it is to remember simply the given first names of cartoon characters, so the data is going to be a bit skewed if the pint is to highlight awareness of comercialized figures compared to real animals. For example, I know quite a few more animals that are threatened in some way, but possibly not officially, as well as knowing what the animals look like or where they live, but not their names.
Polar Bears, for example.
Freshwater Eel, for another
Salmon, which are still around in significant numbers but have also had huge a huge drop in population.
Lots of ocean fish, who are still present in significant numbers but are rapidly declining in population and size.
Lots of random corals, which have weird names
some tiny manzanita or something that only lives on one hill in San Francisco California
various butterflies that don’t have memorable names

Unicorns Are an Endangered Species $25.09 MODERN ZOOS are more than just places to see exotic animals. They are conservation organizations working to save some of the worlds rare and endangered species. Working in a zoo is the dream of many, but only a few actually make it into the zoo field. This book is not a justification or condemnation of zoos but about the authors introduction to the zoo world.Unicorns are an Endangered Species relates the authors experience as a novice zoo keeper. On a Friday in May, 1976 the author left working underground in a mine, then the following Monday walked into the fascinating world of zoos. This personal look into the world of a zoo keeper includes such experiences as herding tortoise, outwitting an evil ostrich, hand raising an orphaned 80 pound baby hippopotamus and raising an Axis deer in his basement. Battling with a leopard over a water hose, avoiding being snake bitten, chasing down an escaping dragon and watching as a herd of male endangered Pere David deer change status as their antlers are shed and regrown are just a few of the adventures which the author experiences during the first years of his 32 year zoo career. Excerpt: Carl Meissner ‘s taxonomic arrangement of Banksia was published in 1856, as part of his chapter on the Proteaceae in A. P. de Candolle ‘s Prodromus systematis naturalis regni vegetabilis . It was the first attempt to provide an infrageneric classification for the genus, aside from Robert Brown ‘s publication of two subgenera in 1810. Meissner’s arrangement stood until 1870, when it was superseded by the arrangement of George Bentham . Meissner’s arrangement was an excellent survey of the known species at that time, but his infrageneric taxa were all highly heterogeneous. Background Banksia and Taxonomy of Banksia Banksia is a genus of around 80 species in the plant family Proteaceae . An iconic Australian wildflower and popular garden plant , they are recognised by their flower spikes or domes, and their fruiting “cones”. They grow in forms varying from prostrate woody shrubs to trees up to 35 metres tall, and occur in all but the most arid areas of Australia. As heavy producers of nectar , they are important sources of food for nectariferous animals such as honeyeaters and honey possum , and they are of economic importance to the nursery and cut flower industries. However they are seriously threatened by a number of processes including land clearing, frequent burning, and disease, and a number of species are rare and endangered .Specimens of Banksia were first collected by Sir Joseph Banks and Dr Daniel |

An iconic Australian wildflower and popular garden plant , they are easily recognised by their characteristic flower spikes and fruiting “cones”. However they are seriously threatened by a number of processes including land clearing, frequent burning, and disease, and a number of species are rare and endangered .Specimens of Banksia were first collected by Sir Joseph Banks and Dr Daniel Solander , naturalists on HM Bark Endeavour |
